Cleaning

To clean your sterling silver jewellery, wash it in warm soapy water and a soft brush or cloth. As silver is easily scratched, a microfiber or a soft nonabrasive cloth would work best.

Any oxidised pieces of silver should be cleaned just with a soft brush or cloth as soapy water will cause the oxidation to fade over time.

Copper will fade in time, so cleaning it just with a soft brush or cloth is best.

Polishing cloths can be purchased from my shop here.

If your pieces are heavily tarnished I would be only too happy to clean these for you for a small fee. Please contact me to discuss this further.

For any gold pieces, a polishing cloth specifically for gold jewellery will need to used.

Care

Remove your jewellery when swimming, showering or bathing.

Avoid exposure to household chemicals such as perfume, hair spray and any cleaning products. These will accelerate tarnishing.

It is always a good idea to remove your jewellery when doing any household chores, gardening etc.

As exposure to air will tarnish silver, it’s best to keep it in an airtight container when not being worn.

Remove your jewellery when you sleep. Always keep it safely stored away.
